Ivanov A.I.  Wonderware GEM: corporate energy consumption management system

A present-day business structure such as an enterprise or a company consumes various resources needed for process operation and for infrastructure. Energy conservation and energy efficiency improvement is today a critically important task. To accomplish it, the sufficient information about energy consumption is needed, which would underlie the administrative actions. Wonderware GEM application provides a tool for acquisition and analysis of such information.

The paper shows that the application of a specialized automated planning system allows to identify a lot of bottlenecks in the manufacturing process and ensure timely product shipments.

Keywords: automated production planning system, shipment, planning quality.

Shopin A.G., Zanin I.V., Spiridonov S.V.  OEE/DTM: Cinderella in MES family

The paper discusses the application of OEE/DTM indices for equipment capacity and lifelength analysis and provides a case study of indices tuning in Infocont Production Company.

Keywords: MES, production information systems, OEE/DTM, equipment outages and lifelength accounting, parsimonious production.

Warehouse in IT way

The general structure and operation principal of warehouse management systems (WMS) are described. The paper distinguishes 3 types of WMS: of-the-shelf, customizable, and custom. General recommendations are formulated, which may be useful for preparing an enterprise to WMS deployment. Application results (efficiency indices) for LEAD WMS software solution from LogistiX are included.

Keywords: warehouse management system (WMS), automated identification, radio terminals, logistics.

Lisin N.G.  Key issues of standard solution selection for ERP development

The examines the key issues of integrated ERP solution selection for a manufacturing enterprise. The duration of software support by the developer and the solution's adjustability to enterprise's business processes are indicated as the main selection criteria. The paper proposes to accumulate the functions characterizing the business processes of a specific enterprise at a separate logical level that may leave the system's kernel invariant and retain the full-scale support from the developer. The examples of applications based on 1C platform are included.

Keywords: production management automation; business process, ERP, standard solution, software product support.

Palchunov A.V., Titov N.N., Shibeko V.N., Gus'kov I.V.  An automated management system for well-boring

Sensors, communication lines, and secondary transducers are often affected in industrial zone by EMI, vibrations, and other undesirable disturbances resulting in distorted and noisy readings. To surmount this challenge, digital data processing filters based on AVR microcontroller were implemented and investigated. The raw data comes from field sensors exposed to EMI and vibrations typical for industrial environment. Based on the analysis undertaken, an optimal filter was chosen subject to the specified criteria such as minimum processor load and high noise elimination rate.
