Water supply control system based on OWEN PR110

Centromontazhavtomatika based in Smolensk, Russia has developed a control pane for country-house water supply from an artesian well. The key element of the automation system is OWEN PR110 programmable relay, which replaced the legacy relay protection and control circuit.

Pump control at artesian wells and water supply point

The paper presents an automated control system for pump control at artesian wells and water supply point at a malt production plant in the city of Belgorod, Russia based on the automation tools from OWEN. The system is based on PLC100, MVA8/MVU8 I/O modules, SI8 pulse counters, and SAU-M6 level gages. The software is based on CoDeSys 2.3 programming tools and CoDeSys HMI visualization environment.

Klepikov V.I.  Ensuring computing fault tolerance in distributed control systems

The paper shows that higher computing fault tolerance in distributed control systems (DCS) can be ensured by scheduling the processes classified in functional segments. Within such segments, the operation of recurring and parallel process execution mechanisms is organized on the basis of control points. An approach to estimating DCS fault tolerance rate based on stochastic modeling of systems with synchronous time architecture is offered. Numerical relationships are derived, which enable quantitative and qualitative evaluation of DCS fault tolerance at design phase.
