Buryak Yu.I. Continuous performance monitoring of industrial products as a key to their safe delivery and operation

Ensuring the safety of industrial products delivery at various levels from physical parameters inspection during products transportation from vendors to users up to limited access to the information about products, vendors, and users is an integrated task of product delivery provision. An information system architecture for continuous lifecycle monitoring with a case study of aircraft components is offered. The featured properties of the system are shown such as unified product description, using diverse machine-treatable information media and toolkits for its recording both in manual and automatic modes. Composition and functionality of system`s software and some hardware components are outlined.

Dozortsev V.M., Kneller D.V., Sorkin L.R., Shestakov N.V. New approaches to education and training of industrial automation specialists. Part 1. Real-time advanced solutions

Engineering and effective operation of advanced industrial automation solutions requires purposefully educated and trained developers, implementers, and support engineers. Today, Russian technical universities are not able to ensure the desirable level of such graduates. The paper offers the ways to surmount this educational challenge through partial reorganization of senior students education (establishment of base chairs) and the introduction of innovative educational technologies, such as a "Virtual Plant" concept. The first part discusses the training of specialists for real-time advanced solutions: advanced process control and industrial simulation-based systems (operator training simulators, etc.). The forthcoming second part will focus on specialists training for MES.

The paper shows that the application of lever and membrane strain-gage transducers with SOS structure typical for most of Russian pressure sensors does not ensure the stability of sensor characteristics during in process environment.
