Salikhov Z.G., Ishmetiev E.N. Temperature control system for steal finishing in electric arc melting unit

The new control philosophy for high-capacity furnace + bucket melting unit is offered. The idea is based on self-tuning of programmatically pre-specified parameters of out-of-furnace steel finishing with simultaneous adaptation of furnace transformer`s extremal characteristics subject to the criterion of minimum melted steal residence time under the arc combined with maximum electrode power under the exposure of unobservable disturbances. The approach was implemented at a real-life electric arc furnace for which control criteria were established and efficiency estimates were derived.

The configuration of robot`s workspace is determined. The constraints imposed on robot arm`s parameters when designing an automated assembly tool are formulated.

At CeBIT 2010 exhibition, Beckhoff has for the 5th time presented its solutions for IT in industry, industrial communication, and building automation. Among its most significant product samples, Beckhoff has demonstrated CP-Link 3 software for data communication from desktop, RFID equiupment, and new stainless steel control panels.
