Modern technique for design and development of embedded condition monitoring and prediction systems for MW electric drives is examined with a case study of synchronous machines of a gas compressors. Statistical analysis of failure rate and operational factor of the isolation aging at stator coils of gas-compressor units` motors. An example of an automated monitoring system for STD-12500 synchronous motor based on innovative electric equipment and control system is included.

Krasovsky A.A.  Automation of experiments using digital signal processing with a case study of real-time determination of spatial coordinates of low-intensity vibration source

The paper discusses the theoretical background and algorithms for digital signal processing, experiment implementation techniques in laboratory and industry using ZATLab hard-/software system. An example of real-time determination of spatial coordinates of low-intensity vibration (or noise) source is adduced. Virtual instruments philosophy is chosen as a framework for experiment planning and design; however, the existing seismic sensors and ADC modules connected with PC are employed as a link between the object under investigation, mathematical tools, and operator. The techniques offered is based on spectral and correlation signal analysis with subsequent visualization and the application of reciprocal projection techniques.
