EAM systems: manufacture without losses
Kazansky D.L. What underlies an EAM system
The paper analyzes the software included in the IT support of equipment maintenance planning and implementation. The recent development trends in this area include the dissemination of the new ways of maintenance procedures realization based on Internet. The paper notes that in the near future, the enterprises will succeed that are able to upgrade their maintenance technology standards.
Ryndin I.O. EAM system - a tool for maintenance manager
The challenges faced by maintenance services of Russian enterprises are formulated. The paper notes that the Russian industry can benefit far more than the foreign companies due to the larger performance gap in maintenance area. Generally, the effect of EAM application can be seen in three different areas: equipment (basic assets), personnel, inventory and spares.
The place of EAM in management pyramid
The paper shows the differences between EAM functionality and the capabilities of various ERP modules and 11 generalized MES functions. It illustrates generic principles of EAM system operation and discusses the features of EAM pilot project for St. Petersburg Oil Terminal Closed JSC implemented on the basis of Datastream 7i.
Kolesov A.A. Effective maintenance organization: from theoretical reasoning to practical solutions
Three approaches traditionally used in industrial assets maintenance organization are discussed. In order to optimize maintenance costs and improve its quality, the paper recommends to examine EAM systems more attentively. The features and capabilities of modern EAM systems are exemplified in MIRO Software`s Maximo and in Datastream 7i.
Antonenko I.N. EAM system as an effective tool in seaport management
Key tasks of seaport materials handling equipment accomplished with the help of EAM systems are discussed. A project of WEAM system implementation in Novorossiysk seaport is outlined.
Shopin A.G., Zanin I.V. OEE and outage management: from theory to implementation in SIMATIC IT
An approach to basic assets lifecycle observation and control (Overall Equipment Effectiveness - OEE) is described and the calculation of OEE indices is discussed. The role of OEE/DTM among MES is shown. Siemens SIMATIC IT OEE/DTM is presented and its functions are overviewed.
Mokhort I.A., Semikin V.Yu. Report subsystem in the gas transportation plant`s SCADA
The functionality and implementation features of "Supervision" and "Certification" subsystems of the SCADA installed at Tyumentransgas Public JSC are described. Development opportunities of a report factory implemented in both subsystems are demonstrated.
Ablin I.E., Zhelnin A.Yu. Equipment certification at modern plants based on MasterSCADA-SFERA software suite
The challenges faced in engineering services certification are described.. A solution in the field of engineering services equipment certification is offered based on the integration of MasterSCADA system and SFERA certification software suite.
Polotnyuk I.S. Integration of interdepartmental information: the ways to optimize
Quality requirements to the interaction between various governmental offices are increasing. Currently, several basic approaches to informational exchange mechanisms implementation are used. The paper shows the drawbacks of existing traditional approaches to the organization of information exchange between offices, describes an approach based on metadata level utilization, and discusses its application advantagaes.
Kazanskaya E.A. A methodology for analyzing document circulation management system for estimating the efficiency of modern information technologies
A methodology for analyzing document circulation management system in drugs agencies is offered. The methodology was obtained from the analysis of organizational structures of the Russian Anti-Drug Agency and is based on structuring principles and system approach that enabled the accounting of various factors, choosing the most influential ones, and finding the ways and methods for the most effective action.
Mazurov V.M., Mertsalov A.E., Fam Van Nguen Modal controllers for industrial plants with delays
New structures and calculation methodologies for digital modal controller of objects with delays are offered. Key elements of the structure are a digital model of a first-order objects, a full order observer, and a PI controller. The new controllers offered ensure threefold speed of response as against conventional PI controllers, they enable easy tuning and are convenient for implementation on freely-programmable controllers.
Lipovets A.V. Data archiving system based on ISaGRAF technology
The paper discusses the architecture and operation principle of a data archiving system intended for archived data collection from field controllers, its transportation to archive servers and storage into a database for further transfer to upper level system. The system was developed as a stand-alone product - a distributed historical data archiving system named ISaArch.
Vorobiova A.V., Yefimova T.V., Zhirov M.V., Krasnov A.E. Parameter optimization of spectrum analyzers of coherent static light scattering for controlling dispersed structures of liquid media
The paper evaluates the disturbances for a typical optical schematic of a spectrum analyzer of coherent static light scattering. It offers a spectrum analyzer schematic optimal with respect to size and disturbances that could underlie specialized sensors for the dispersed structure of process water, electrolytes, potable water, alcohol, alcoholic liquids and beverages, and wines.
Fateev P.A., Marks O. Turck`s uprox® new inductive sensors
Key advantages of the new series of Turck`s sensors as against conventional inductive sensors are discussed. The experience of Ford corporation who had chosen uprox® as a corporate standard is discussed.
Tires and wheels testing machine with Beckhoff`s control system
Higher, faster, farther... Seicher GmbH (Hannover, www.seicher.com) implemented this Olympic slogan in their car tires and wheels testing machine. Owing to the innovative PC-based control technology and EtherCAT high-speed communication system developed by Beckhoff, the machine is far less sizeable than all existing ones and enables minimum testing time with maximum accuracy. Combined with high security level, it has high potential for future capacity increase.
