Fedyaev A.A., Grigoryeva T.A., Ulyanov A.D.  Controlling aerodynamic conditions in boiler unit’s firebox

Rational aerodynamic conditions in the firebox of a pulverized coal-fired boiler were determined by both calculations and experiments for various spatial orientations of hot air flow injection from the back draft device. The possibility of controlling the irregularity of energy carrier flows in the working chamber of a specific boiler unit and, respectively, its effective operating modes. The experimental data obtained enable the calculation of the optimal spatial working parameters of the back draft device and discharge characteristics for two burner types. The application the study results eliminates emergencies owing to the improved performance of back draft hot-air curtains.

Kurashkin S.O., Tynchenko V.S., Shutkina E.V.  Automation of welding process in steady-state mode for airspace parts

The automation of electron-beam welding process for thin-walled structures is discussed. New methods, models and a software suite for EBW automation are presented. An approach is described which reduces the number of welding flaws, ensures process repeatability and cuts EBW material and labor costs. The software suite was tested in a pilot welding of a component part made of BT14 titanium alloy.

Fedorina E.V., Diakov I.F., Krupennikov O.G.  Automation of rolled stock nesting in the blank production of engineering plant

The paper reviews industrial automated nesting systems and offers new approaches to nesting process, a new nesting design scheme, and a new model for guillotine nesting optimization, which minimizes the prime cost of the nested product. PROM-2013 Component Cluster database and PROM-2013 software were developed for implementing automated nesting design on the basis of the new resource-cost indicator (RCI) and controlling the information about element-by-element nesting process. The software evaluates the nesting efficiency with respect to the RCI and selects the optimal variant. Comparative nesting variants for various dimension-types of rolled stock from several metallurgical works are offered with the calculation of key nesting indicators and the selection of the optimal variant with minimum number of nesting operations, and the application of high-performance cutting equipment resulting in higher capacity and lower prime costs.

Keywords: computer-aided design, optimal nesting, consumption rate, resource-cost indicator, capacity.

Dyomkin P.M., Bespalov N.N.  Fault diagnosis in digital integrated circuits by embedding additional logic at the design phase

The paper discusses the methods and key concepts of digital integrated circuit design with reference to the implementation of additional logic for fault diagnosis. It substantiates the need for including additional diagnostic logic in IC design and lists the key types of defects in the finished article. Basic structure types enabling IC diagnosis, their feature, merits and drawbacks are described as well as the diagnosis metrics and the ways to attain them.

Snegirev O.Yu., Torgashov A.Yu.  Optimization of control system’s parameters on the basis of a predictive model for industrial fractionating column

The paper discusses the parametric synthesis of a control system for kerosene production in an industrial fractionating column on the basis of a predictive model in uncertainty conditions. The optimal parameters of the MPC algorithm result from the solution of a multicriteria optimization problem, which allows for the plant’s parameters specified in ranges.

Keywords: model-based predictive control, robust control, multicriteria optimization.

Gorshenin A.Yu.  Initial data sample generation for machine learning of power consumption scheduling model

The paper discusses the problems of power consumption scheduling with the help of XGBoost machine learning technique. A structure of the ensemble of XGBoost decision trees is offered for predicting power consumption one day ahead. Significant process parameters and the size of the training sample are determined for the specified prediction accuracy.

Keywords: power consumption prediction, machine learning, decision trees, gradient boosting.

Pishchukhina T.A., Akhmedianova G.F., Pishchukhina A.M.  Ensuring the flexibility of a production system on the basis of process equipment reconfiguring

The transition to reconfigurable production systems is a matter of not just production modernization and development but also its survival in current conditions. Reconfiguring is considered as the next, structural level of flexibility improvement. A multilevel criteria selection scheme is examined for determining the optimal level of production system’s flexibility. The acceleration of tuning of reconfigured systems in the changing ambient conditions depends to a greater extent on equipment pieces; this is the primary cause for developing reconfigurable systems and the key challenge of reconfiguration. Against this background, the paper summarizes and specifies the subject field, a reconfigurable machine tool, with the help of IDEF0 function modeling methodology and the ontological approach. It overviews the publication on such machine tools for choosing practical features and requirements. The analysis of the developed ontology with the aspects of the design of a reconfigurable machine allowed to summarize the factors affecting the equipment restructuring rate and select the solution in the form of a proposed reconfiguration plan. The design of this plan aims at saving the reconfiguration time by choosing a reconfiguration sequence which contains less elements and moves involved in the transition from one configuration to another one.

Keywords: reconfigurable systems, reconfigurable machine tool, function modeling, ontology, Ishikawa diagram.

Yaroshenko A.Yu.  Models of information security management in an organizational system of information security support due to requirements ranking. Part 1. Ontological model

The paper discusses the selection of the composition and the order of the fulfilment of requirements to information systems. These requirements are fulfilled by appropriate organizational systems for preventing the attacks of various origin. To this end, key entities of the subject field are introduced in the form of an ontological model, which is presented in a graphical form, all model’s elements and their logical connections are described. An end-to-end example illustrates the ranking of information security requirements in a staffed warehouse company with a database on a computer in the server room. A brief meaning description of the ontological model proposed is offered. Preliminary conclusions are made about the novelty, theoretical and practical value of the results obtained. The problem is set for the development of the full analytical model, which would comply with the proposed ontological one and formalize its entities and procedural transitions between them.
