Ismailov B.G.  Analysis of information security system in facility service networks of oil and gas sites

The paper argues about optimal information security system (ISS) configuration with the objective to maximize the information security of oil and gas production service networks by ensuring all unauthorized access requests (UAR) are recognized by ISS protection mechanisms. Computational procedures and algorithms have been developed to study the optimal characteristics of ISS as a single-phase multi-channel queuing system. Computational experiments were carried out and numerical results obtained that allow the approach proposed to be used in the design of ISS for various networks.

Livshitz I.I.  Risk assessment of information security consultants

Consulting services including information security are well used by domestic industrial companies. Quality control of the rendered consulting services is an important task. The paper shows that a solid regulatory framework has been developed in the information security area that secures consulting service users against unscrupulous consultants. Main risks faced by the users are formulated, a simple mathematical tool for their assessment and monitoring is offered.

Fritsche M.  Connector standards for single-pair Ethernet and their application

Advantages and limitations of single-pair Ethernet-based data communication technology are outlined and its standardization process is reviewed. Multi-pair and single-pair Ethernet (MPE and SPE) technologies are compared. The features of SPE electrical and HF performance are analyzed. Performance attributes of SPE connection technology are provided as per IEC 63171-6 recommendations. SPE application outlook is included.

The application of process analyzers is still limited in oil and oil product pipeline systems. Based on the analysis of the status quo in this segment, the paper concludes that inline measurements of total sulfur and organic chlorides content in crude oil will be soon relevant. Another promising area of inline process analysis is NIR and MIR techniques for physical and chemical properties of oil products.
