Dozortsev V.M., Kneller D.V., Sorkin L.R., Shestakov N.V.  New approaches to education and training of industrial automation specialists. Part 2. MES-level advanced solutions

Development, implementation, and effective operation of advanced industrial automation solutions requires purposefully educated and trained engineers. Today, Russian technical universities are not able to ensure the desirable level of such graduates. The paper offers the ways to surmount this educational challenge through partial reorganization of senior students education (establishment of base chairs) and the introduction of innovative educational technologies. The second part of the paper discusses the training of specialists for MES level advanced solutions including supervisory control, production planning and scheduling, supply chain management, etc.

Davydova N.S.  Parameter synthesis of the device for automated assembly of axis-symmetric component parts

The algorithm for selecting and calculating the geometrics of automatic search trajectory, structural elements, and materials of a device for automated assembly of axis-symmetric component parts is presented. The constraints on the estimated parameters of device are substantiated.

Ol`shansky A.M.  Design methodology of an adaptive supervisory control system for railway freight terminals

The design methodology of an adaptive supervisory control system for railway freight terminals is discussed. Problem setting and solution with the help of mathematic tools of automatic control theory and neuron networks are presented as well as the basic supervisory control algorithm implemented as a set of sequentially operated blocks each executing its main task. The author`s methodology can be applied for managing the operation of freight terminals located both at the stations of Russian Railway JSC and logistic hubs and stations which belong to other railway infrastructure owners.
