The paper examines the existing oscillation damping systems for loads transported by bridge crane. A block diagram of an automated system for load oscillation damping based on a swinging load model is presented. The model-based approach results in fast oscillations damping. The correctness of the mathematical tools underlying the model is proved both theoretically and experimentally.
