It is the company`s opinion that reusable objects will contribute to further automation technologies growth and ensure process and financial benefits both for users and vendors. The system has 0.2 accuracy rating, and 0.2S for active. The paper presents their performance data and design features.

Production automation can become a powerful tool for getting additional benefits and increasing investment attractiveness. For that, correct establishment of priorities when selecting the automation tasks is prerequisite. No less important is to choose `correct` facilities that enable cost-effective automation systems operation. One of the basic obstacles in Russian oil and gas companies automation is the complexity of benefits calculation. Innovative advanced information technologies are usually promoted by measurement and control engineers rather than by operations. In the absence of a feasibility study for a specific automation project, the enterprise management severely cuts the project budget that naturally affects the work quality and eventually the final result.

The paper offers some examples of new EMICON DCS-2001 series controllers application in a gas contamination monitoring system and in an automation system for product pumping station of an oil product trunk line. Effective combination of DCS-2001 series operational and economical performance enables to improve automation system`s overall performance. For example, it becomes possible to apply without increasing system cost an anti-wreck protection controller as a microprocessor functional backup and thus improve system reliability and integrity as against using a backup manual emergency shutdown loop.

Bulanov A.P., Volotovsky S.G., Kazansky N.L, Popov S.B., Khmelev R.V., Shumakov S.M. Machine vision system for rail car trains recording

A technical vision system intended for operating as a part of an automated railcar loading control and monitoring system at an oil-loading rail terminal is described. The system creates reports about incoming and outgoing railcar trains. The reports are delivered to remote operator who supervises the result of computer recognition and adds the necessary additional information about the railcars. The reports are used in railcar loading control and for preparing accompanying notes at trains departure.

Avton systems for oil-field work automation

The paper describes the Avton unified measuring system that meets all requirements of oil-and-gas production plants. It presents a family of Avton modules and considers their application advantages. The paper notes that the system application will reduce oil production costs as well as process equipment maintenance and diagnostics expenses and the cost of diagnosis and research instruments keeping.

Performance attributes of panel instruments with bar graphs from NPP Elemer (Mendeleevo, Moscow Region), TD Urimov (Krasnodar), Vibrator (St. Petersburg) and Electropribor (Cheboksary) are presented. The paper emphasizes that the extension of the range and the development of digital instruments functionality allows to extend their applications to various industries.
