    The paper outlines the requirements of IEC 61508-2-2012 standard (the Russian version), which prescribes failure rate calculation for technical products and systems. It presents a tentative failure rate calculation for Sipart PS2 positioner manufactured by LG Avtomatica Production and Scientific Company for more than 10 years.

The toolkit enables the development of a monitoring system for pilot’s in-flight physical condition. The paper shows that aircraft’s safe operation procedures should include the integrated logistic support of their technical maintenance.
