Faruntsev S.D.  Integrated advanced control system for gas separation, oil dehydration and preheating processes

Under intensive external perturbances undergone by oil treatment unit, its base-level control systems including advanced regulatory controls cannot ensure the accurate stabilization of crude preheating temperature because of the specificity of control system and preheater’s dynamic behavior. The strongest disturbances affect the channel “inlet crude heat flow – crude outlet temperature”. The paper proposes to stabilize the moisture content and, hence, the heat capacity of the inlet crude flow by affecting the interphase level of inlet flash drums, because the residence time of crude in the drums and its key parameters depend on the drum’s interphase level. Simultaneously, the ratio of the calculated heat flow of the crude heated to the specified target to the heat of the fuel gas burnt should be controlled in cascade from crude temperature at the preheater outlet. For implementing the proposed control scheme, soft sensors for desirable crude and fuel gas properties were developed with the help of ANN technology. The control system for dehydration facilities of the oil treatment unit, including three-phase separator and PTB-10Э preheater was simulated.

Keywords: three-phase separator, crude emulsion preheater, perturbing factors, soft sensors, artificial neural networks, advanced control system.

Tikhomirov L.I., Lechtzind V.V.  Information control centers for business assets: a key element of maintenance efficiency improvement

The paper presents an approach to improving the efficiency of maintenance control of business assets with the help of Information Center for Business Assets Control (ICBAC) based on SAP ERP software. The solution improves labor efficiency of maintenance specialists owing to the consolidation of all planning and control activities in a single information window. The implementation of a software suite based on the unified solution named Information Center for Maintenance and Digital Certification Planning and Control at Kazanorgsintez Public JSC is described.

Keywords: equipment maintenance, information control center, business assets, data management, predictive analytics, key performance indicators (KPI).

Tikhomirov O.I., Kalashnikova N.N.  Application of highly power-efficient electric motors and variable frequency drives for power consumption reduction

Electric motors have appeared 150 years ago, and has been improving ever since. The recent decade has seen their most rapid progress. The improvements make the background for significant reduction of the carbon footprint of industrial and domestic electric motors in the near future. The present-day market offers the extending range of highly power-efficient drives (IE3 class or higher) that can be used for controlling electric motors. These solutions enable carbon emission reduction in the next 10 years.

Keywords: electric motors, variable frequency drives, energy efficiency, industry.

Andreev G.T., Vnuk V.V., Levitsky A.V., Nikolaev P.M., Nikulenko A.A., Shardin A.O., Yustus A.A.  Developing ice simulators from photopolymer materials with reference to their mechanical properties

For assessing the effect of icing on aircraft dynamics, the aircraft model should be tested in a wind tunnel with ice simulating straps. The paper describes technological features of developing such straps by means of an additive technology: stereolithography. It discusses the features of stereolithographic units and provides an experimental assessment of mechanical properties of the samples made of various photopolymer types for selecting the material with optimal characteristics. The optimal position of the model in the stereolithographic unit’s operating area and its effect on the part’s geometric relationship.

Keywords: aircraft, icing, ice simulator, fabrication method, stereolithography, photopolymer, mechanical properties.

Ospanov K.K.  Emergency risk analysis with a case study of a Diesel hydrotreating unit

The paper analyzes the risk of emergency at a dangerous plant by the example of Diesel hydrotreating section of LK-6U integrated oil refining unit at Pavlodar petrochemical plant. It evaluates the probability of emergency incidents and simulates the probability of such incidents at a dangerous industrial site. Application of automated anti-wreck and fire-protecting devices is offered for reducing the plant’s level of explosion and fire hazard.

Keywords: risk, emergency, emergency and fire protection, risk assessment method, Diesel hydrotreating units.

Abidova E.A., Dembitsky A.E., Simakova N.A., Lapkis A.A.  Using entropy transformations in complex diagnostic systems

The methods of signal processing in complex diagnostic systems are analyzed. The paper shows that traditional methods do not allow getting the full scope of fault diagnostics information because of nonlinearity and chaotic exposures of the interaction of equipment pieces and faults. It justifies the application of entropy transformations in signal processing modules of complex diagnostic systems.

Keywords: complex diagnostic system, information, signals, entropy, diagnostics, time series, probability, randomness, flaw.

Vaschenko P.A.  A system of robotized modules for bushing type part cutting

The composition and operation principle of a system of robotized modules for bushing type part cutting is described. The three-level control system for the complex is presented. The system application made it possible to release highly skilled workers from routine tasks, improve the productivity and product quality.
