The paper discusses the optimization of design parameters of a girder in a standard structure of a large-sized aerodynamic model of helicopter’s rotor blade with the objective of mass minimization. The blade’s outer surface is specified by a digital model, while the loadings, such as shear force, bending and torsional moments, are determined by the number of blades and the limit value of the rotor’s propulsion attained during the testing on specified rotor devices. The developed optimization technique and its software implementation result in significant design time saving.

Keywords: large-sized blade in the aerodynamic model of helicopter’s rotor, standard blade model structure, girders, design parameters optimization.

Kurnosenko A.E., Sherstyuk A.E.  Preparing a model of an automaton for components setting on a circuit board for assembly simulation

The paper discusses the development of a digital model of an automaton for components setting on a circuit board. The model is intended for simulating the assembly of electronic modules on circuit boards. The optimization of component setting sequence is undertaken based on the traveling salesman problem. A generic algorithm of the process and the description of its key phases are included.

Vibrations arising in centrifugal units in various industries affect rotating equipment adversely. The paper describes a new method for passive monitoring of torsional vibration of rotating parts of centrifugal units and the device implementing the method. The monitoring device contacts the viscous medium by means of resistant elements built in the structure and thus resists the rotation. The device can adapt to the system’s rotary speed. Its simulation with ANSYS Fluent software allowed to obtain the relationships of the antitorque moment and the pressure on the device’s elements vs. the design parameters and the surface relief.
