KINEF JSC (Kirishi Refinery, Russia) has implemented a wireless data communication-based diagnosis system for intelligent instrumentation. System development prerequisites are discussed, the instruments comprised are listed. The structure of data acquisition and communication network is examined as well as the functionality of diagnostic algorithms for pressure and level gages, flowmeters, and valves.

The paper discusses the organization of wireless data-communication network in continuous monitoring systems for railway infrastructure objects. It describes the features of a link protocol developed by the authors for the network operating at 868.7 MHz frequency. The system is currently the first one In Russian Railways JSC using radio channel for data communication from remote sites and line-service station hubs.

The paper examines the identification of mass-transfer processes at a crude distillation unit with constrained mathematical model parameters. Honoring model constraints enables the improvement of soft sensor models' accuracy under limited learning sample size and small process data variability. The efficiency of the identification algorithm proposed is illustrated with the example of soft sensor development at CDU-2 crude distillation unit of Kirishi Refinery.

Sporyagin K.V.  Universal Modbus supervisor with the example of OWEN controllers

The paper describes the library for Modbus protocol in CoDeSys v2 environment developed by Hyprocement JSC. Its application both optimizes the network enquiry cycle and makes the project cross-platform. A universal Modbus supervisor for OWEN controllers is the library's core element.

Tatneft JSC has modernized relay protection and automation (RP&A) of its 110/35/6 (10) kV electric grids. RP&A terminals with microprocessor blocks were integrated into DISK-110 supervisory information system. Functional controllers of Zaschita-3 (Protection-3) hard-/software complex are used at substations for connecting with RP&A terminals. The solution enabled the implementation of centralized selective protection from single-phase earth faults as well as the organization of electrical equipment's state monitoring.

The paper describes a situation center intended for improving the quality and efficiency of management solutions, decrease of emergency situation risk, timely elimination and mitigation of emergency consequences. It describes the first situation center project implemented in Gazprom neft. The solution is planned to be replicated at two oil refineries and in the headquarters.

Bukatin A.S., Dudnikov D.A., Mukhin I.S., Malyshev E.I., Kukhtevich I.V., Evstrapov A.A., Dubina M.V.  Improving the response speed of fluidic control systems by prototyping their elements in polydimethylsiloxane by means of soft lithography techniques

The technology and methods of microfluidics prototyping is widely used in a variety of industrial and medical control applications as well as in functional operability testing of new microanalytical control systems. The paper examines the features of microstructure formation in SU-8 photoresist and the development of jet control systems' replicas in polydimethylsiloxane by means of soft lithography techniques. It shows that the relationship between the width and the height of microstructures obtained is determined by their shape, size, the strength of adhesion between the resist and the silicon substrate, and the efficiency of developer circulation around microstructures. The technology discussed was used for the manufacturing of microfluidic chips of various backup jet control systems with a main electronic channel and a fluidics-based backup channel.
