Mazurov V.M., Fam Van Nguyen Modal controllers for industrial objects with time lag

New structures and calculation procedures for digital modal controllers for second-order plants with time lag are proposed. The key elements of a structure are a second order plant`s digital model, a full-order observer and a non-static state controller. The observer allows to create control object`s coordinates predicted from the time lag value. The proposed controllers ensure significantly higher system`s response speed and demonstrate high stability factor as against conventional PID controllers. They enable high-performance control of inertial, oscillatory, and nonminimum-phase objects with delays in control and measuring channels.

The paper discusses an important issue of automation systems` measurement assurance - instrument channels calibration in process control systems with the focus on calibration efficiency improvement and effort reduction owing to more effective calibration technique. Key issues of the new instrument channel calibration methodology, such as new system architecture design, hardware selection, and necessary software development, are considered in the context of the proposed way to solve the problem. The description of the new calibration system for various type instrumentation channels is included.

Kizina I.D. INGA-Neftedobycha - practical metrology problems in oil and gas industry

The challenges of practical metrology in oil and gas industry are listed and the ways to overcome them are outlined. The paper describes the INGA-Neftedobycha system developed by Nefteavtomatica Public JSC and offered to oil and gas production enterprises for building MES-level systems. The system includes a set of open custom software packages developed as standard design solutions implementing, in particular, basic algorithms for solving standard problems of metrology and supervisory control in oil and gas industry.

The organization of automatic sensor calibration in information and control systems is discussed. The calibration procedures are based on special mathematical processing of on-line measurement data and the calibration information stored in available databases. A general assessment of some variants of mathematical processing based on classical time series prediction methods and on modern neuron network technologies is made.
