The paper analyses complementary systematic error that arises in pulsating gas flow measurement with variable pressure differential method for 2 types of pulsations. It offers a way to eliminate the error at gas-measuring units. The way is based on correcting the pulsating gas flowrate with the help of a device that converts the signals of fast-response sensors measuring the pressure before the orifice plate and the pressure differential across it. The examples of gas flowrate correction for the pulsations of any given form are adduced.

Kizhaev S.A. Automation of extrusion process

The problems to be solved for automating the process of communication cables extrusion are formulated. Mathematical expressions needed to develop structural schemes for computation and adjustment of dielectric permittivity and porosity factor of cable insulation are presented. The implementation of a regulatory control system for porosity factor is described.

Rotach V.Ya. The features of PID controller settings calculation in industrial control systems

The paper discusses the calculation of optimal PI and PID controller settings in process control systems in view of plant specificity, such as transportation lags and various random disturbances, partially non-measurable. The optimality criterion supplemented with an additional constraint on admissible small value of control error that is justified by practice. The paper shows that a simple optimality criterion can be used in such case, which minimizes the control error with respect to all inputs. The technique exempts from calculating input correlation functions that takes inadmissibly much of observation time. The criterion simultaneously minimizes both RMS error and its short-time overshoots beyond the admissible level.

The paper discusses the robust system synthesis philosophy based on the method of model enhancement by filtering process variables for getting reference trajectories. These trajectories can be then used for special correction of system dynamics.

The paper considers and adaptive control system for wine-making process with time-varying feedstock parameters. The system uses an identifier in a feedback loop and a decision-making person in the outer control loop.

The paper considers the identification-based synthesis of adaptive control systems for electric ferroalloy furnaces. It proposes to use a power vs. current relationship model as a basis for adaptive control aimed at attaining maximum power with minimum current intensity.
