Vedmid’ P.A.  The place of PLM in the automation pyramid

Digitalization and the transition to flexible manufacturing imply the transformation of the traditional automation pyramid. Key changes refer to the upper (fourth) level, which comprises enterprise management tools. Various approaches to the automation pyramid refurbishment are discussed. Against the decreasing production series and the rising custom manufacturing, PLM systems incorporate in the upper automation level, because only they can quickly configure custom product composition and provide the article’s production components, which differ from the design ones.

Keywords: automation pyramid, standardization, product lifecycle, system PLM, product composition management, MES, custom manufacturing.

Butyaga S.  The role of the new generation engineering contour and generative design in the development of the present-day domestic industry

Buryak Yu.I., Petrov A.V.  A procedure for developing a job list for planned maintenance of aircraft using their functional system models

The paper discusses the development of job list for planned aircraft maintenance, which complies with reliability and flight safety requirements. The provisions of ATA MSG-3 are analyzed, the ways to automate its application during the design with the help of software models of aircraft functional systems are revealed. A procedure is offered, which enables automatic determination of planned maintenance job list based on SysML models.

Keywords: aircraft equipment, maintenance program, system model, failure types and consequences.

Sergheev A.I., Gavryushina E.V., Ovechkin M.V., Shimonov R.Yu.  Automation of production management based on digital twin and virtual production system

The approaches to production management within the implementation of Industry 4.0 concept are analyzed. Digital twin-based control schemes for real-life and virtual production are offered. Diagrams for control and monitoring mode sequences are developed. The algorithm and the software implementation of a virtual production system are offered. The proposed solutions enable the virtual setup of production cell’s control logic, which can be further transferred to the real-world system with minimum changes. In addition, the receipt of the deviations of operation execution times from the rated values from the real-world system makes it possible to predict the production situation based on simulation modeling results.

Keywords: production system, digital twin, OPC server, control automation.

Zakharov N.A.  Blockchain in logistics

The paper shows the relevance of blockchain technology application in logistics. With a case study of Indonesia, it discusses the advantages of blockchain implementation in the logistics sector of a major country. Possible challenges of blockchain implementation in logistics are outlined. Applications in maritime logistics and truck driver condition monitoring are examined.

Keywords: blockchain, smart contract, logistics, drivers, trucking industry

Matrenin P.V.  New ensemble model of decision trees with linear regression models in the nodes and leaves based on fast gradient boosting for prediction tasks in power industry

The paper discusses a new method for improving the accuracy of time series prediction in power engineering tasks based on the modified decision tree ensemble model. It describes various ways of replenishing regression solution trees and their ensembles with the functionality of local linear approximation of relationships existing in time series. The most promising technique features the introduction of linear model trees with L1 and L2 regularization into the tree’s nodes and leaves. The approach was investigated in the context of short-term prediction of power consumption by a metallurgical works given the production and meteorological factors. Comparative analysis of different ensemble models was undertaken for substantiating the model’s outlook and its training algorithm. Statistical estimation of the reliability of the obtained results and the benefits were calculated with reference to the specificity of the plant operation at the wholesale electricity and power market.

Keywords: ensemble models, solution tree, gradient boosting, time series analysis, electricity consumption prediction, industrial enterprises, scheduling.

Bakhtadze N.N., Chereshko A.A., Kushnarev V.N., Mukhtarov K.S., Anikin M.A.  Predicting CO and NOx emissions from gas turbine units

The paper presents the results of the analytical study of the approaches to the prediction of CO and NOx emissions from gas turbine units using machine learning techniques and associative search algorithms. Based on the analysis of open data for the five-year operation of a gas turbine, the paper assesses various model types, such as linear regression, random forest, gradient boosting, and associative search. The advantage of associative search is demonstrated subject to several criteria.
